Benefits of Bird Nets
Bird nets are effective tools for bird control. Birds can create health hazards, damage equipment, siding and roofs, and harm gardens. Bird netting prevents birds from nesting and roosting in a particular area, which significantly lowers the risk of birds becoming pests.
The presence of bird feces can cause potentially fatal lung diseases, such as Histoplamosis and Cryptococcus. Psittacosis is another potentially fatal disease that can also be contracted through contact with birds and their feces. Birds do not discriminate, and therefore any place they frequent will become littered with their droppings. These dropping maximize the opportunity for deadly health problems in humans. Bird nets greatly decrease the chances humans will come in contact with bird feces, as the birds are discouraged from nesting or roosting anywhere there are bird nets.
Birds droppings have been known to damage equipment, siding and roofs due to their acidic droppings. Not only can equipment be damaged, but the workers that work on or with the equipment, are at risk for health issues and problems. Air conditioning units are often targets for equipment damage which can cost thousands of dollars for repair or replacement. Bird droppings can also damage house siding and roofs, which frequently causes leaking or other damage.
Birds are known to attack gardens and deplete fish wildlife. However, if utilized, bird nets prevent birds from getting close enough to peck at the fruit and vegetables, thus preserving the items until harvest time. Bird nets can also be used for small ponds to ensure fish wildlife is given the opportunity to thrive.
Bird nets are used by many people for many reasons. The thing these people have in common is they are all looking for a way to control birds without causing harm to them.
